You’ve picked a fun theme, but don’t have time to make it all happen…well that’s what happened with our fabulous clients Tim and Sally. With only a few working days as our lead time, we pulled together a glitzy and glamorous Great Gatsby themed event for the client.
Our bespoke gold and black tulle poms gave guests a glimpse of the sparkle and glamour that awaited guests beyond the front gate. Our popular gold votives and tea candles lined the passage from the front door through to the back deck. They created a warm and golden ambience as guests entered the house. We had a sparkling gold curtain hanging at the front of the house and also from the ceiling in the lounge room. It made a bold statement and added wonderful character to the event.
We hired a vintage 1920’s black and gold car that became a backdrop for guests to have their photo taken in front of. It was a perfect talking point when guests arrived at the house, in all of their 1920’s finery.
We installed a huge Gatsby banner at the back of the pool deck. Guests were able to see the sign from inside the house that contributed to the excitement. The famous Gatsby ‘green lantern’ was a focal point for the guests. We had a bar setup which had a gorgeous black tulle skirt around it. It was truly eye catching and had guests commenting right from the start. Our bar staff were also dressed to match the Gatsby theme, which tied in perfectly with the guests in their fancy dress. Guests were treated to appropriately themed cocktails on arrival and throughout the night.Continuing with the feathers and the 1920’s feeling, a pair of large martini glasses, filled with faux crystals and ostrich feathers were a feature in the lounge room.“A HUGE thank you to Melissa and Melina who transformed our Gatsby themed event into a 1920’s extravaganza! We gave them such a short time frame, and yet their attention to detail and organising ability was outstanding. Both are such beautiful personalities to work with, they are efficient, SO hard working and yet calming in presence whilst taking the initiative in making sure all comes together. We had a vintage car in the driveway, gold tinsel curtains over the doorways, a huge Gatsby sign taking centre stage as a magnificent back drop as well as many well-thought out little displays here and there so that the whole place was transformed. We would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to anyone”. Tim & Sally
